Our monthly meetings are returning to Henton Village Hall, after a run of successful zoom meetings. We welcome visitors as well as new members: full details are laid out in the Membership Section.
Making the Most of a Small Garden
Making the Most of a Small Garden explores the ways we can scale down various garden styles to fit a limited space and adapt the layout for easy maintenance and space saving. Planting for all seasons is important and use of colour to give the illusion of space. Use of pots, lawns and essential maintenance. The talk concludes with a visual tour of Mary's own tiny garden.
Our speaker is Mary Payne
Best described as a horticultural consultant specialising in teaching gardening and creating and managing planting schemes for gardens large and small, including the award winning Compton Acres garden in Poole.
Mary holds a clutch of gold medals from Chelsea and Hampton Court. She is well known as Gardening guru for BBC Radio Bristol and Mendip Times
It is no wonder that Mary was awarded an MBE in 2004 for Services to Horticulture in the South West.
Our September meeting on 15 September 2021 will be at Henton Village Hall. The meeting starts at 7:30 pm with doors open at 7:15 pm.
